Stuffed Basbousa (Semolina Cake)

Ingredients

For the Basbousa Batter:

Eggs at room temperature: 2

Sugar: ½ cup

Vanilla: 1 teaspoon

White vinegar: 1 teaspoon

Yogurt: 1 cup

Vegetable oil: ½ cup

Medium semolina: 2 cups

Baking powder: 1 teaspoon

For the Syrup (Qatr):

Sugar: 1 cup

Water: 1 cup

Lemon juice: from 1 slice

Orange blossom water: 1 tablespoon

For the Cream Filling:

Medium semolina: 1 tablespoon

Cornstarch: 3 tablespoons

Sugar: 2 tablespoons

Milk: 2½ cups

Cream (Qimeer): 200 ml

Orange blossom water: 1 tablespoon
