Directions:
1. Prepare the Bread:
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the cubed French bread evenly in the dish.
2. Make the Custard:
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until smooth.
3. Add Blueberries:
Sprinkle 1 cup of the blueberries over the cubed bread. Pour the egg custard mixture evenly over the bread and blueberries, making sure all the bread is soaked. Gently press down to ensure the bread absorbs the liquid.
4. Chill the Casserole:
Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight for best results.

Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
6. Bake the Casserole:
Remove the plastic wrap or foil and drizzle the melted butter over the top. Sprinkle cinnamon if desired. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
7. Garnish:
Once baked, let the casserole cool for 5 minutes. Top with the remaining blueberries and a dusting of powdered sugar.
8. Serve:
