Quick and Easy Chocolate Mousse (Gluten-Free)
This rich and creamy chocolate mousse is a perfect dessert for chocolate lovers. It’s smooth, indulgent, and super easy to make—especially when you’re short on time. Best of all, it’s gluten-free!
INGREDIENTS:
200g dark chocolate (around 70% cocoa)
1 cup heavy cream (chilled)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh raspberries and chocolate shavings (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Melt the chocolate:
Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Alternatively, you can melt it in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between.
Whip the cream:
In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together using a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form.
Combine chocolate and whipped cream:
Once the melted chocolate has slightly cooled, add a few spoonfuls of the whipped cream to the chocolate and mix to temper it.
Gently fold the rest of the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until smooth and combined.
Chill:
Spoon the mousse into individual jars or bowls and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
Garnish and serve:
Once set, top with fresh raspberries and chocolate shavings for an extra touch of decadence.
Enjoy your luxurious, quick chocolate mousse! This recipe is gluten-free, and you can make it even quicker by using a pre-made whipped cream, but the homemade version gives it that perfect fluffy texture.
