Chocolate Cake Layers
• All-purpose flour – 2 cups / 240 g
• Cocoa powder (dark/unsweetened) – ¾ cup / 75 g
• Sugar – 2 cups / 400 g
• Baking powder – 2 tsp / 8 g
• Baking soda – 1½ tsp / 6 g
• Salt – ½ tsp / 3 g
• Eggs – 2 large
• Milk – 1 cup / 240 ml
• Oil – ½ cup / 120 ml
• Vanilla extract – 1 tbsp / 15 ml
• Hot coffee or hot water – 1 cup / 240 ml
Cherry Filling (Thick & Glossy, Like in the Image)
• Cherries (fresh, frozen, or bottled) – 3 cups / 450 g
• Sugar – ½ cup / 100 g
• Cornstarch – 3 tbsp / 24 g
• Cherry juice or water – ½ cup / 120 ml
• Lemon juice – 1 tbsp / 15 ml
Chocolate Ganache (Glossy Drip & Coat)
• Semi-sweet chocolate – 2 cups / 300 g (chips or chopped)
• Heavy cream – 1 cup / 240 ml
• Butter – 2 tbsp / 28 g (for shine)
Optional
• Extra chocolate chips for topping
• Extra cherries for decoration
